Jackson Lavelle Barwick, Sr son of James William Barwick and "Tillie" Tilda B Leavel, was born in Allegheny, Pa., and died in Baldwin CO,Ga -resided in Fulton CO, GA. He married Evelyn Lorah Adams, daughter of Ovid Adams and Annie Covinton. She is buried at Sandy Springs, GA.

Jackson served as Flight Officer in US AAF and received his wings at Tyndall Field, Panama City,FL.

My Father, Jackson, Sr.,was born in Allegheny, Pa. across the river from Pittsburgh. He attended Norman Institute at Norman Park, Georgia. In World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He read the Law in the office of former Governor Tom Hardwick with Richard B. Russell, who later was to become Governor, then served as long term U. S.Senator from Georgia.

He was admitted to practice in Florida and practiced at Delray Beach, Fla. The hurricane of '27 ran him back to Georgia, he practiced law with Hugh McIntyre, who was appointed to the Court of Appeals and He Joined Judge McIntyre with the Court.
It was from this connection that Jackson Sr. became involved with the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals were he was legal Secretary and Aide to Justices, Richard B. Russell, Sr. Hines, I.H Sutton, Alexander H. Stephens.
