Meriden-The military funeral of Luther Broadway, 59, husband of Wanda Schultz Broadway, of 12 Undercliff Road, was held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 262 Bee St. with the pastor, Rev. Randy Somody, officiating. Burial was at Walnut Grove.
Luther is the son of Pressly Clinton and Martha Jenella George Broadway. Brother of Ethie Mable, Eddie Francis, Katie Myrtle,Oliver Lloyd, Minnie LaVerne, Louis Preston, Yvonne Jenella, Eugene Clinton, and John Riley Broadway.
He leaves to mourn his wife Wanda; a son, Lawrence; & daughters, Linda, Loretta, and Laura Broadway.
The pallbearers were Lawrence C. Broadway, the son of the deceased, and John Barnes, Lawrence Krochko, Vernon Eleazer, Joseph Besek and Harold Minnery.
Broadway died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness.
