Saltillo - Della Fant Myers, 96, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born July 10, 1904 in McShan, Ala, to the late Lee Fant and Della Fant. She was a homemaker and a member of Caledonia Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. She was a lifelong resident of Caledonia until she moved to Dogwood Plantation almost 11 years ago. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marzee M. Day and Gladis M. Freeman; and one son, William A. Myers Jr. She was an avid gardener.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus with the Rev. James Townsend, the Rev. Inge Halbert and the Rev. Franklin Breaux officiating. Burial will be in Egger Cemetery.
Survivors include 14 grandchildren, Margaret Day Allen of Clairmont, N.C., Roger Day of Southbury, Conn., Richard Day of Lilburn, Ga., Daniel Day of Charleston, S.C., Donald Day of Charleston, S.C., Brenda Freeman Robinson of Vernon, Ala., Nancy Freeman Breaux of Saltillo, Patty Freeman Barron of Hoover, Ala., Judy Freeman Fulgham of Starkville; two sons-in-law, Augustine Day and Glover Freeman of Caledonia.
Pallbearers will be Matt Breaux, David Breaux, Will Breaux, Jason Passmore, Wayne Robinson and Curtis Fulgham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Allen, Stuart Day and Ryan Day.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, Miss., 39703.
