Lovell S. Stuber, Capt., Army Air force, killed in crash on an army airplane at sea in the West Indies April 9, 1942. He had left the U.S. April 7 to fly to Trinidad, British West Indies, on a secret mission for the War department. The plane reached Puerto Rico and left the next morning to continue to Trinidad, but never arrived there, presumable coming down in the Caribbean sea. Formerly of Reno county, his wife, Virginia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Moore of Centennial community, Burrton RFD.
