MRS. JETER

Mrs. Carolyn Robertson Jeter, 50, 409 Riverview Circle, of Florence, died Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. at Colonial Manor Hospital after an illness of six months.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Morrison-Elkins Chapel, Forence, with Robert Stegall officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Morrison-Elkins of Florence directing.

She was a native of Seymour, Indiana, and was a member of the First Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. James N. Jeter; four daughters, Mrs. Susan Ellis, of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Mrs. Barbara Blackwood of Thomasville, North Carolina, Mrs. Nancy Spry of Tokyo, Japan, Miss Kelly Jeter of Florence; a son, James Neal Jeter, Jr., of Florence; a sister, Mrs. Betty Terkhorn, of Brownstown, Indiana; a brother, Judge Jonathan Robertson, of Seymour, Indiana; and two grandchildren.

NOTE: Carolyn was also known as Carolyn Wilma Robertson Jeter. When her mother died shortly after giving birth to her, she was adopted by Joseph Miller Robertson and his wife Bernice. Joseph was a prominent citizen of Brownstown, Indiana.
