Lewis Smith pavilion at Fairbury
His funeral will be at 1 30 p.m. today
Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran church,
with Rev. Wilbert Burmeister officiating.
Burial will be in Germanville cemetery.
Mr. Schroen was born April 6, 1878, in
Germanville township, a son of Bernard and
Wilhelmia Poeltzig Schroen He married Eva
Mae Knight March 17, 1907, in Germanville
township. She died Jan 31, 1965.
He is survived by two sons. Dwayne, Crown
Point, Ind., and Glenn, Chatsworth; a
daughter. Mrs. Aldene Thackeray, Melvin; 11
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and
three sisters.
Mr. Schroen was a retired farmer and a
former supervisor of Germanville township.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
church.
