SUPPLY – Goley "Goose" Ruffin Caison, 76, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, in the Autumn Care of Shallotte.
Mr. Caison was born on November 13, 1925, in Brunswick County. He is the son of the late James C. and Ethel Cheers Caison. He was retired from the Norfolk Dredging Company as a crew boat captain. He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva White Caison, brother, Rudolph Caison, and son, John White.
Mr. Caison is survived by three sisters; Beatrice Ludlum, Mary Jane Hewett, and Nancy Norton Smith; four brothers, Edgar Caison, James Caison, Tom Caison, all of Supply, NC, and Linsey Caison, Denton, NC, five sons, William White, Myrtle Beach, SC, Kenneth White, Michael White, Benny White, Rev. Landis White, all of Ash, NC, and Rev. Jerry White, Winnabow, NC; two daughters, Martha Jones, Ash, NC, and Margie Danford, Greensboro, NC; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 22nd in the Sabbath Home Baptist Church by the Rev. Rory Thigpen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, June 21st at the funeral home.
