He served 38 years in the military, first as a Merchant Marine during World War II, then as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War, and later during two tours in Vietnam.
During the last ten yeas of his life, he helped establish military reunions, run therapy groups, and treat PTSD victims.
He was a professor at the University of Louisville and the Pontifical Universidade Catolica.
Survivors include his wife, Fran; sister, Diana; children, Janet, Jody, Maureen, Noel, & Pat.
