Services were held for Elmer Edgar Kilts on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Leyson Funeral Home in Milford. Officiating was Rev. Paul Baiotto.
He died Saturday Feb. 11, 1978 at his farm home east of Arnolds Park.
Pallbearers were Bob Mann, Wayne Nicols, Gaylen Dick, Ed Goodman, Jr., Gene Fales and Earl Rose. Burial was at Okoboji Cemetery, Arnolds Park.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughters: Darlene Hotchkiss of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Henry
(LaVonr.e) Siemers of Milford; one son: Dale of Spirit Lake; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three brothers: Alfred of Lynwood, CA., Victor of Benson, AZ., and Glen of Milford, and one sister: Mrs. Arlo (Rhea) Lenz of Milford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Born to John and Ida Kilts in the. Milligan Basin area of Montana on Jan. 11, 1911, he attended school in Dickinson County.
On Nov. 9, 1934 he married Ruth Morris at Arnolds Park.
He had lived in the Lakes Area since 1920, farming for the past 53 years east of Arnolds Park. He was a charter member of the Dickinson County Izaak Walton League, and an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman
