Funeral services will be Friday, in the Chapel of Summers-Kistler funeral Home in Noble with Rev. Herman Gumble officiating. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery.
Thomas was born Dec. 29, 1931, Richland County, the son of Noah and Mabel (VanMatre) Thomas. He married Della Lasiter and then married Sally Tulip in 1972.
He was a retired oil field worker and had worked at Roadmaster. He attended Liberty Congregational Church in Wynoose.
He is survived by his wife, of Noble; a son, Greg Thomas of Calhoun: five daughters, Cheri Thomas and Shirley Thomas both of Noble, Lawonna Woody of Tampa, FL, Roxanna Cantrell of Olney and Renee Browning of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Melvin Thomas of Olney and Dale Thomas of Ingraham; two sisters, Minnie Pride and Raedell Schwarzlose, both of Olney; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, Cyril and a sister, Esther Thomas.
