CHASE - Shirley Ann Nicholson, 71, died Nov. 27, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Eureka, the daughter of Virgil and Doris Little Stever. She graduated from Hamilton High School. A resident of Chase since 1971, formerly of Sapulpa, Okla., she was a retired head cook for Chase High School.

She belonged to Raymond Baptist Church and the former Lions Club of Chase.

On Oct. 12, 1956, she married Charles Nicholson in Nowata, Okla. He survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Sandy Thornton, Russell, and Cindy Parsell, Raymond; two brothers, Jimmy Stever, Emporia, and Ricky Stever, Eureka; five sisters, Jeannie Burton, Eureka, Connie Hays and Judy Cates, both of Emporia, Sally Gulick, Moran, and Nancy Brechiesen, Hartford; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Stever; and a sister, Kathy Higbee.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bob Bethell presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in Raymond Hilltop Cemetery.
