James Myers, age 77, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003 in the Christiana Medical Center.

Mr. Myers was the son of the late Edward and Ellen Myers.
He was born and raised on Wilmington's south side.

Jim was retired from the Chloramone Corp. in Delaware City.
He served his country in both the Army and Navy.

He was a member of the Kirkwood Fitness Club, a life member of the Hall-Burke VFW Post #5447, Claymont, DE and the Charles Durney Post #27 American Legion.

Jim was also a member of the Brandywine Club and the Claymont Moose Club #848.

He was an avid shuffleboard player.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Patricia Monti and her husband, Robert, Christine Wilgus and her husband, David, Susan Shaw and her husband, Thomas and Jeanna Everest and her husband, Gene; his companion of 10 years, Doris A. Smith; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

The service will be Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 12:30 pm in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville, where friends may call after 11 am.

Burial will be in Riverview Gardens, Wilmington.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mr. Myers memory to the Delaware Humane Society, 701 A. Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
