Houston, Blanche J. age 83 of Maryville passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Springview Baptist Church, formerly of Niles Ferry Baptist Church for many years where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Church Clerk. She retired from Greenback School System with 15 years of service. She was formerly employed with Alcoa. She was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by: 1st Husband, Max Kirkland; Parents, Robert Anderson Jones and Grace Ashe Jones; Brothers and Sisters, Carl V. Jones, Ruby Jones Vaden, Ernest W. Jones, Ruth Louise Jones Franklin, Harold L. Jones, and Herman R. Jones; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law, Lloyd Houston, Velma Wallace, and Betty Jo McClellan. Survivors include: Husband, Robert L. Houston; Stepsons & Wives, Tony Lee & Sandy Houston of Maryville, Don Thomas & Anita Houston of Sulpher Springs, TX, Mike & Sandy Houston of Kellar, TX; Grandchildren, Matthew Houston of Sulpher Springs and Katlyn Houston of Kellar, TX; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, R.L. & Carmen Jones of Woodsfield, OH, Ralph V. & Boby Lee Jones of Maryville, Rex D. & Ida Jo Jones of Maryville; Sister, Frances E. Jones of Maryville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Edna JoAnn & Charlie Hill of Maryville; Sisters-in-law, Geneva Bailey of Maryville, Maxine & husband Cecil Humphrey, Jackie & husband Aubrey Phelps; many nieces and nephews. Interment will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 15, 2006 at Grandview Cemetery.
