John P. Welton

Age 87, formerly of Cardiff, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006 in Clermont, FL.

John retired as a ticket agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a Master Sergeant in the Army during World War II and served in London and France. John was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.

His wife, Betty F. Welton, died in 1996. John is survived by his son, John P. Welton and his wife, Donna, of Clermont, FL; his daughter, Lisa Meier and her husband, Richard, of Stone Mountain, GA; and his grandchildren, Sarah, Timothy, Laura, Matthew, Greta, Jesse and Zachary.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 1:30 pm at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville where friends may call after 12:30 pm. Furial will be in Riverview Gardens, 33rd and Market Sts., Wilmington.
