He passed away on February 23, 2009 in Visalia, CA at the age of 88. Junior was a teenager when the family moved to California, settling in the Exeter area where he grew up.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947 and then returned to the San Joaquin Valley.
Junior married the former Mary Mitchell on February 3, 1968 in Visalia.
He worked for Producers Milk & Ice Cream for over 30 years.
After retirement, he worked for Tulare Irrigation District for 10 years.
He was a long time member of the Odd Fellows, IOF#94.
Loved ones include his wife of 43 years, , Mary Yarnell, Visalia Daughters, Cynthia (George) Alvarez, Clovis, and Joan (Ron) Stevens, Salem, Oregon; brother, Bud Yarnell, Redding, CA, sister, Shirley Crane, Texas, 4 grand-daughters, Adrienne & Amanda Alvarez, and Kelly Stevens-Malnar & Keri Stevens-Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Visitation at Miller Memorial Chapel on Sunday 3-7 p.m. Celebration of Life Services will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 2, 2009, 11:00 a.m. with graveside services following at Visalia Cemetery Under the direction of Miller Memorial Chapel.
