Private Brandon was posted to Fort Mason, Arizona Territory. He returned to California with his company and was mustered out at the Presidio of San Francisco, June 28, 1866. Myron filed for a Civil War veteran's pension March 28, 1892, and received application No. 1,100,100 and certificate No. 1,151,084.
After his death his wife filed for a widow's pension July 5, 1911, and received application No. 967,984 and certificate No. 726,729.
