Esther Ausland
Funeral services for Esther Alvina Ausland were held on Saturday, May 14, 1977 at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Hoffman, MN. Rev. Robert Vedell officiated. Organist was Mrs. Donald Dynda, and soloists were Maynard Nordquist and Dwayne Soderholm. Pallbearers were Kevin Ausland, William Meyer, Douglas Soderholm, Rollin Soderholm, Eero Vieru, and Michael Walsh. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery, Hoffman.
Ester Ausland was born at Hoffman, MN on Jan. 12, 1892, the daughter of Carl and Mary Soderholm. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bethel Lutheran Church of Hoffman, and was a lifetime member of this church. She was united in marriage to Helmer L. Ausland on Oct. 16, 1917 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Hoffman.
Mrs. Ausland passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 1977, at the Harmony Rest Home in St. Paul, MN, at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include her children: Warren of San Francisco, CA; Stanley of Brooklyn Center, MN; Mrs. George (Marion) Short of San Lorenzo, CA; Mrs. Richard (Helen) Walsh of St. Paul, MN; Mrs. Leonard (Lorraine) Frad of Fairfax, CA; Mrs. Henry (Delores) Morris of San Lorenzo, CA; and Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Hancock of St. Paul, MN. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Francis Soderholm of Alexandria, Harvey Soderholm of Hoffman, Mrs. Larry (Clara) Born of Alexandria, and Mrs. Ervin (Ruth) Lankey of Granite Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
