Carole, affectionately referred to by her family and friends as "Mouse," was born in Atlanta, GA, grew up in College Park, GA, and is a 1953 graduate of the University of Georgia. She moved to Clearwater in 1963. Carole was a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension; worked as a stewardess with Delta Airlines in the early 1950s; was a contestant in the Miss Georgia Beauty Pageant; reigned as Miss Athens and as the first Gator Bowl Queen; and served for many years as a member of the Clearwater Junior League. Carole is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, William E. Kilgore, MD; her three sons, Sidney Wallis Kilgore, Esq. (Davanna) Palm Harbor, John Early Kilgore, M.D. ( Christine Laramée, M.D.) Indian Rocks Beach and William Kevin Kilgore, Esq.(Debra) Safety Harbor; her two sisters, Patricia Wallis Pitts, Savannah, GA and Johnnie Ruth Wallis Brown, Wadley, AL; and her four beloved grandchildren, William Stafford Kilgore, Desmond Cahill Kilgore, David Michael Kilgore and Kaydee Devin Kilgore, as well as McDuff II, her loyal dog.
