B. F. HART DIES

Benjamin F. Hart, Converse County resident for the past thirty-five years, died Tuesday *(Sept 6, 1938) morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. Homer Hart, seven miles west of Douglas, following a long period of ill health. He would have been 86 next Monday.

Benjamin Franklin Hart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hart, Was born in Ohio September 12, 1852. In 1860 he came, with his parents, to Boulder, Colo. Later he moved to LaMars, Ia., where he married Harriet Howard. To them was born one daughter, Nona,.

After about three years Mrs. Hart died and Mr. Hart moved to Wayne, Neb., on October 22, 1884,he was married to Addie Chaon. To this union 14 children were born, all of whom survive except Ruth, who died in infancy.

After his second marriage Mr. Hart was engaged in the livery business for six years. With his family he came to Wyoming in March, 1903, settling in the Upper LaPreie valley where they lived for twenty years. They then moved to Douglas.

Mrs. Hart passed away January 23, 1937. Mr. Hart had lived with his children since then.

The surviving children are Nona Stricklett of Blair, Neb.; Charles of Hartford S.D.; Walter of Del Ray, Calif.; Emmanuel of Warrentown, Ore.; Mrs. Nell Terry, Mrs. Fred Howdard, Mrs. Harry Rice, Mrs. Homer Powell, William, Henry, Clarence, and Earl, all of Douglas.

Funeral services are bing held the afternoon at the Baptist church, the Pastor, Rev. J. M. Flooner officiating. Music for the services was by Madames O. E. Clark, John Blonaker and Mesers. Gayton and trethewey. Pallbearers were O. W. Harr, T. W. Howlay, Robt. L. Irvine, Henry Wagner, Valdon Saul, John stinson, Burial was in the Douglas Park cemetery.
