Wayne R. Cottrell, 63, of Seville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 4, 1944, in Wellington to Roy and Mary (Hart) Cottrell, where he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Cottrell attended Wellington High School. He was an animal lover, having raised fish, birds and dogs. He also held his private pilot's license. He attended Triangle Baptist Church in Chippewa Lake.
Mr. Cottrell is survived by his wife of 12 years, Rochelle; daughters, Gidget, Sherri and Krista; six grandchildren; stepdaughter, Sheila (Dobber) Tackett of Seville; grandchildren, Heather, Allison, Kate, Brittany and MaHaley; brothers, William, Dwight and Michael Cottrell, all of Wellington; sister, Connie Cottrell of Wellington; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Timothy and Sidney Cottrell; and stepdaughter, Lisa Gallatin.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Pastor Bobby Wheeler will officiate.
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
