Matthew Hunter Garrett age 21 of Roxdale Place died Thursday morning, April 10, 2008 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Roanoke, VA.
Matthew was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Patterson Garrett. He attended Providence Baptist Church for the past 19 years. Matt was a student at Person High School.
Matthew is survived by his father, Dr. Stephen Garrett, his two brothers, Copeland Garrett and Caleb Hillman Garrett and his sister Jillian Hope Garrett all of the home; his paternal grandmother, Almeade G. Garrett of Roxboro and his maternal grandparents Bobby and Wilma Patterson of Waverly, TN; one aunt Bonnie G. Perkins and husband Richard of Roxboro; four uncles, Dr. William Garrett and wife Janice of Bahama, Keith Patterson and wife Patti of Dickson, TN; Mark Patterson and Terry Wayne Patterson both of New Johnsonville, TN; his special friend, Ms. Serita Kramer of Memphis, TN; and his care givers were: June Taylor, Rachel Barnette, Tammy Oliver, Thelma Johnson, Caroline Clayton, and Theresa Mundy.
