Dr. James I Doyle, 51 years, prominent Rapid City, SD, physician died in his sleep Wednesday morning at his home. He appeared to be in good health and his death attributed to a heart attack.
Dr. Doyle came to Rapid City in 1927 and had practiced here since that time. He was staff of both local hospitals. and was a member of the Black Hills Medical Society. He was also active in the KD's Lodge of the Cathedral Catholic Church. He was a native of Wisconsin having. been born at Hazelgreeen WI, December 1, 1893. He received his grade school education at Hazelgreen WI and later graduated from Dubuque Iowa High School. Dr. Doyle began his medical studies at Marquette University, Milwaukee WI and completed his work at Loyola University, Chicago. He was married there in 1918. For 2 years, prior to coming to Rapid City he practiced at Geddes. Surivvors include his widow Barbara, a son James M, attending the University of South Dakota at Vermillion and a daughter Margaret Mary attending Loretto Heights College at Denver.
