George Ann was one of six children born to George Washington Vandiver and Mary Ann Hall Vandiver.

The other children were: Pheba Miranda, Susanne, John Wesley, Margaret Caroline and William Andrew Vandiver.

She married James Newton Jackson November 2, 1879 in Lawrence County, Alabama.

They had the following children: Robert Leander, Lucinda, Aller Ross, Ophiliar, Fannie Bell, Thomas Kinnard and Kitty Ann Jackson.

Mrs. Jackson, 95, Called By Death

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Ann Jackson, 95, were held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Okalona Baptist church. Rev. McMahan conducted the rites. Interment was made in Ferguson cemetery, Mutual Service directing.

Mrs. Jackson was a resident of Town Creek. She died Friday about 8:40 A.M. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim C. Parker. A native of Lawrence county, she spent her entire life in that region. She belonged to the Okalona Baptist church for 72 years.

Surviving are a son, Tom Jackson, of Decatur 2; two daughters, Mrs. Jim Parker, Town Creek 3; and Mrs. K.M. Vine, of Franklin, Tenn.; and 18 grandchildren.
