Mrs. Frederick Taken by Death at Advanced Age

Mrs. J. G. Frederick, aged 92, one of the oldest residents of the county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. E. Wright, West Lafayette, Thursday evening. she had been making her hoe with her daughter.

The aged woman's death was due to senility.

Amy Curran was born in Orange County, New Jersey, February 21, 1834. At the age of three she came to this county with her parents, locating in Roscoe.

In 1850 she was united in marriage with John G. Frederick, who preceded her to the grave 20 years ago. Six children were born to this union, one dying in early infancy.

At an early age she united with the M. P. Church, later becoming affiliated with the M. E. Church at Warsaw, transferring her membership to the same church at Newcomerstown about three years ago.

The surviving children are: Mrs. Laura Darling, Warsaw; Mrs. Lyman Taylor, Coshocton; Mrs. R. C. Edwards, Newark; P. W. Frederick, Mansfield, and Mrs. D. E. Wright of West Lafayette.

Short services will be held at the late home at West Lafayette at one o'clock, Saturday afternoon after which the funeral cortege will proceed to Warsaw, where services will be held in the M. E. Church at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be made at Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw.
