LOWERY,
Rita D. (nee Pellegrino) , 88, of West Deptford, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2009. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rita graduated from Southern High School and worked as a Bank Teller for Mellon Bank for more than 20 years. Following her retirement, Rita took a job at the Casinos in Atlantic City where she remained until her retirement in 1986.
Rita will be fondly remembered for her loving and outgoing personality that endeared her to all who knew and loved her. Rita enjoyed many years of traveling to new and exciting places with her family, including several of the islands in the Caribbean. Reading good books, crocheting and enjoying a good meal out with family and friends or trying her luck with the one armed bandit in Atlantic City were some of the joys of Rita's life.
Rita is the beloved wife of the late Edward Lowery. Loving mother of Rita (Ralph) Murri and Edward (Annamarie) Lowery. Grandmother of 7 and Great grandmother of 11.
Rita's visitation will be held Thursday 10 to 10:45 AM in St. Patrick's R. C. Church, Cooper Street. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM in the Church.
Interment Brigadier Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
