PA Death Certificate #106644, lists parents as Jacob Barr and Elizabeth (Phillips).
It is believed but not proven that he was the 1st husband of Melinda (Johnson) Barr. I could not find a marriage record to support this information. Melinda married Henry's brother J. Emory Barr.

"Services for Henry J. Barr, eighty-two, who died Friday night in the county hospital, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from Reynolds funeral parlors, Quarryville. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Methodist cemetery. He is survived by a son and a daughter, Francis H., of Oregon, and Mrs. Ira Myers, of Quarryville. Two brothers, Emory, of East Drumore, and Galen, of this city and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Eckman of Quarryville, also survive."
