She was born on Dec. 6, 1937, to William Riley Lamon and Vera Mae (Immel) Lamon at Borger, Texas. She attended school at Stringtown and Atoka, and she married Leo Allen, Jr. in 1955 at Fort Bragg, Calif.
Wanda was a homemaker and housewife. She loved gardening, her flowers, sewing, quilting and fishing.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Troy Lee Allen and five brothers George, Charlie, David, John and James Lamon.
She is survived by her husband of the home; children Jimmy Dean Allen and wife Denise of Albuquerque, N.M., and James Ray Allen and wife Judy of Coleman; grandchildren Jimmy Dean Allen Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., Phillip Ray Allen of Armstrong, Nicole Marie Mollenkoph and husband Adam of Albuquerque, and Melissa Anne Allen of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren; sisters Juanita Thompson of Atoka, Lue Ellen Powell and husband Leo of Atoka and Leona Brewster of Borger, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Burial will be at Mount Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clifford Watson, Ralph Brewster, Donnie Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Jimmie White and Mark White. Honorary pallbearers will be Leo Powell, Chester Edge and Cathy Watson.
Family night is from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
