James Clifford Lucero (1949-1969) was the 2nd of 3 children of Frank Lawrence Lucero Jr. (1925-1998) and Gladys E. Berry (1928-2018).

Siblings: Frank Lawrence Lucero Jr (1947- ), and Charles Raymond Lucero (1950- ).

Grandparents: Frank Milton Lucero (1902-1899) and Louisa “Rose” Garcia (1909-2000) on his father’s side of the family. And on his mother’s side, John Alfred Berry (1904-1956) and Mildred Jewel Thompson (1905-1987).

Frank was the son of Manuel C. Lucero (1860-1931) and Rosarito Mares (1860-1955). His wife Louisa was the daughter of Simon Garcia (1883-1963) and Paula Montoya (1886-1949).

James was serving as a United States Army Specialist Fourth Class, serving with B Company, 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division.

James is honored on the Vietnam Memorial Wall 22W042.
