Known as Yost Jacob Yoder to his Illinois Yoder descendants.∼Johann was the son of Yost Yoder and Elizabeth Kuhlewein, who were Swiss immigrants from Steffisberg, and also buried in Pleasantville Union Cemetery. He was married to Catherine Oyster.
