Anna BRUNDIGE Wyatt (1762 - 1838) was the daughter of William BRUNDIGE (1741-1825) and Anna PURDY BRUNDIGE (1743- 1823). Her father was a minister.

Anna BRUNDIGE (1762 - 1838) married Nathaniel WYATT (1762-1824) on October 1, 1786, in Ulster County, New York.
Her husband Nathaniel WYATT had served in the Revolutionary War, in the New York Militia.

Anna Brundige Wyatt and her husband Nathaniel WYATT began their married life in New York. From there, they migrated to Virginia. From Virginia they migrated to Ohio, where they became permanent settlers.

The WYATT and BRUNDIGE families were the first settlers in this historic area. They settled there in February 1806.

On their homestead property, Nathaniel WYATT (1762 - 1824) and his wife Anna BRUNDIGE Wyatt (1762 - 1838) built, owned, and operated Wyatt's Tavern & Hotel, which was a two-story brick building that served an important part in the history of this area in Ohio. Wyatt's Tavern & Hotel was located near the historic Military Road.

Wyatt's Tavern & Hotel was located within the protective stockade walls of historic Fort Morrow, which had a vital role in the military history of Ohio during the War of 1812 time period.

Anna Brundige Wyatt's husband, Nathaniel Wyatt (1762 - 1824), also owned and operated a mill in this same area.

Situated on a beautiful knoll on the bank of the Olentangy River, Wyatt Cemetery is the final resting place for past veterans from the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. Many of the earliest settlers of Marion County are buried in this historic cemetery.
