Adkins, Mary Agnes- 87 of Barnesville, Ohio, died Monday February 2, 2009 in Emetald Pointe Nursing and Rehab. She was born Aug 21, 1921, in Temperanceville, daughter of the late Joseph a. Hughes and Rose V. Pfeffer Hughes. Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker and worked with the former Barnesville Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Barnesville Assumption Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold (Doc) Adkins; a sister, Constance I. Biedenbach; and brothers, Frank, Ernest and Anthony Hughes. Surviving are four daughters, Jenny (John) Loos of Cambridge, Mary Lou (Don) Pandzik of Powhatan, Nancy (Lee) Cunard and Barb (Russell) Lackie all of Barnesville; three sons, Fred (Mary) Adkins of Barnesville, Dallas (Gloria) Adkins and Ralph (Phyliss) Adkins, all of Woodsfiled; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Barnesville. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville, with Msgr. Mark Froelich officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Barnesville.
