"Russell Allison sixteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Allison was taken to the Lutheran hospital Fort Wayne Monday. The unfortunate young man while engaged in a ball game two miles west of town Sunday afternoon was accidentally struck by a swift flying ball near the left temple with such force as to cause consussion of the brain and partial paralyis."

"Word has been received here by Willard Allison, 631 Walnut street, of the death of his brother, Russell, formerly a resident to this city. Death occurred at Convoy, O., being due to influenza, at 3 o'clock, Monday afternoon. The decedent was 21 years old and until recently was employed in the General Electric works."
