Mrs. Dixon, 74, died Feb. 10, 2009, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. She was born on Aug. 23, 1934, to the Rev. L.A. Gayten and Annie Pearl Puttman.
She was a hair stylist. She was a member of Gateway Church of God in Christ in Memphis.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Roy L. Dixon.
Survivors are her sons, Terry Gayten, of Bogue Chitto, and Roy Dixon, of Brookhaven; a daughter, Debra Dover, of Bogue Chitto; a sister, Leora Carter; her eight grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren.
