Sharon L. Langley, 60, of Vandalia, died at 5:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.
Graveside services will be held at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday at Griffith Cemetery in rural Brownstown, with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home in Vandalia. Memorials: The family.
Mrs. Langley was born on June 24, 1948, in Vandalia, the daughter of Benny and Dorothy McCarty Jones.
She was a bus driver for CEFS Head Start, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vandalia.
She is survived by daughters, Michelle and her husband Andy Vaughan of Vandalia, and Diana and her husband Seth Henry of Troy; son, Chris Langley and his wife Amy of Effingham; sisters, Kathy and her husband Steve Sublette of Vandalia, Jeanne and her husband David Leigh of Farina, and Maria Blankenship of Kinmundy; brothers, Steve Johnson of Vandalia and Eddie Blankinship of Texas; and grandchildren, Paige Dodson, Blake Torbeck, Matilyn Langley and Glen Henry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William "Bill" Blankinship Jr.; sister, Sharon Kay Ritchey; and grandchild, Mackenzie Jo Torbeck.
