She was born in Newberry and was the daughter of the late Lester E. Hayes and Mattie Lee Hazel Hayes Holt and A.S. Holt.
Mrs. Craven was retired from Whitten Center and was a member of the Joanna Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her former husband and close friend, Eugene Craven of Clinton; a daughter, Gaye Kitchens and husband, Tommy of Clinton; two granddaughters, Kristie K. Riser and husband, Mike of Clinton, Brantlee S. Kitchens of Clinton; and two great grandsons, William and Michael Riser.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
