Died--On May 25th, 1873, Mrs. Elizabeth Whisnand, wife of William Whisnand, aged 65 years and 17 days.
They came to Monroe Co. from eastern Tennessee in 1830. Had twelve children, ten of whom are still living at the time of Mrs. Whisnand's death. Nine children were present at funeral. Mrs. Whisnand was a member of the Church of God.
