Son of Paul and Catherine Whisenand.
In 1969, Donald K. Matson created an inventory of grave stones in Rose Hill Cemetery. He began in April and completed the inventory in October. The inventory was published in 1976 by the Monroe County Genealogical Society of Bloomington, Indiana.

The publication includes an index. Jacob is not listed in the index under any of three variants for the name of Whisenand. Since 1969, volunteers have photographed nearly all of the stones in Rose Hill Cemetery, with special emphasis on the oldest parts of the cemetery. It is unlikely that a stone exists for this grave.
