Mrs. Kington was a native and lifelong resident of Granville County. She was the daughter of the late Butler V. Walke and Minnie Dickerson Walke. Mrs. Kington retired from the American Tobacco Company and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kington and her first husband, Johnny "Red" Adcock.
She is survived by three sons, Tim Adcock of Wake Forest, Michael Walke Adcock of Durham and Johnny David Adcock of Stem; four brothers, Johnny Walke of Zebulon, Henry Walke of Oxford, Walker Walke of Florida and Dan Walke of Minnesota; two sisters, Virginia Boyd of Oxford and Mary Beal of Durham.
