AUSTIN -- The funeral for Blanche L. Wolfe will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Wolfe, 94, of Austin, formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday (Jan. 13, 1998) at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center in Austin.

Blanche L. Lewison was born Feb. 13, 1903, in Adams Township, Mower County, graduated from Adams High School and received a two-year degree from Mankato Business College. On July 8, 1950, she married Stephen Wolfe in Los Angeles, where she lived for 27 years. Mrs. Wolfe was a longtime office manager at Travelers Insurance in Los Angeles. After returning to Minnesota in 1972, she lived in Rochester until moving to The Cedars in Austin on Oct. 1, 1987. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.

Survivors include a sister, Juletta Iverson of Adams. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
