Mack Duffy Phelps, 82, of Brunswick Cove Nursing Center and formerly of Old Ferry Connection, Supply, died Monday, May 10, 2004, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Born in Brunswick County on December 3, 1921, he was a son of the late Timothy Hendrix and Mattie E. Hewett Phelps. Mr. Phelps was a devoted member of Sharon United Methodist Church and he was most proud of his 56 years of Sunday school attendance, also he was a member of Tri-Beach Volunte er Fire Department. He was preceded in death by ten brothers and sister

Survivors include a brother, Chad Phelps and wife Elaine of Bolivia; a special niece, Geraldine Fulford Elliott of Supply and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Sharon United Methodist Church with Reverend Eddie Hill and Reverend Bill McNeill officiating. Interment will follow in Silent Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory, Supply Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church, 2030 Holden Beach Road, Supply, NC 28462.

Pallbearers will be Jarett Elliott, Jeremie Elliott, Freddie Fulford, Jerry Caison, Larry Holden and Chris Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Phelps, Gene Allen Caison Sr ., H.D. Parrish, Timothy Phelps and members of Tri-Beach Volunteer Fire Department.
