Dunnellon - Samuel Forrest Arthur, age 71, of Dunnellon, FL, passed away on February 20, 2009 at Legacy House, Marion County Hospice. He was born in Campbell County, Virginia and had moved to Dunnellon, Florida in 2004 from Duluth, Georgia. Sam had a passion for God, family, friends and golf. He was a Navy veteran and had retired as a field service engineer with Mannesmann Tally, Kent Washington. He is survived by his spouse of 46 years, Glenda McDonald Arthur; daughters, Deborah Arthur Hudgens, Elizabeth Arthur and Stephanie Arthur Hyman, all of Virginia; sister, Joyce Ferguson; brothers, Swanson E. Arthur and Bobby R. Arthur of Virginia; six grandchildren, Dallas, Sam, Kenneth, Stephen, Will and Rebecca, all of Virginia; mother-in-law, Marie McDonald Roberts of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard B. Arthur, Sr. and Lottie G. Arthur, brothers, H.B. Arthur, Jr., all of Virginia, Rodgers H. Arthur of Florida and Jimmy G. Arthur of North Carolina. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22nd, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross, Georgia. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
