The funeral for Clarence W. Disney, 94, Jamestown, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Norman Aderson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery with Eddy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Thursday.
Mr. Disney was born March 27, 1894, at Alden, Kan., the son of James and Frances (Thomas) Disney. He grew up and attended school at Alden. He married Elsie Linn March 8,1918 at San Antonio, Texas. He entered the U.S. Army Oct. 3, 1917 and was discharged Feb 14, 1919. They moved to Huron S.D. where he worked as a postal clerk until 1941 when they moved to Montpelier. He was a rural mail carrier while living at Montpelier, retiring in 1954. He later moved to Jamestown where his home had been since. His wife died in 1948. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Martel, Bismarck, Mrs. Ellamae Phillips, Columbus, Ohio, Elsie Ambrosius, Huron S.D., and Mrs. Gilbert Andersen (Ruth), Jamestown, one son, Dale Disney, Dixon, California; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was the last of his family. In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and one great-grandchild.
