Bea Nagengast
Former Elim community resident and Fort Benton resident, Bea Nagenast, 79, died Sunday evening, April 2, 2000, of respiratory complications due to Alzheimer's disease at the Missouri River Medical Center Nursing Home in Fort Benton.
Rosary will be at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Benton on Wednesday, April 5th, at 7 p.m. and funeral services will be Thursday, April 6th, at 11 a.m.
Bea was born July 1, 1920 in Oto, Iowa, to William and Mary Dickman, growing up there. She married Martin J. Nagengast on Aug. 24, 1948 in Fort Benton. They spent their years together farming in the Elim community east of Fort Benton.
Bea enjoyed sewing, baking, being well known for her angel food cakes, and bowling. She was a member of the Altar Society and past president of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by four sons, William F. Nagengast of Anchorage, Alaska; Raymond P. Nagengast of Maple Lake, Minn.; Robert G. Nagengast of Fort Benton; and Joseph G. Nagengast of Littleton, Colo.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, in March of 1977, and her son, Edward, in 1993.
