Morse of Oregon and Mildred Downie Morse. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1953 with a bachelor's degree in dance and physical education. She studied modern dance with Martha Graham in New York City, and then was an instructor and choreographer of modern dance at the Jewish Community Center in Washington, D.C., Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, Georgia, and Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina. She married Charles Hugh Campbell, Jr. of Hartsville, South Carolina in 1954. They divorced in 1976 and she moved back to Eugene, Oregon, where she later graduated from the University of Oregon in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in interior architecture. She lived in Eugene, Oregon until her death.

As a young girl, Nancy cherished spending time with her family on the farm riding horses and attending the county and state fairs. She often climbed the fir trees to read. Over her entire lifetime, she loved raising her greyhounds, afghan hounds, Russian wolfhounds, Pekinese, Dalmatians, cocker spaniels, and collies. She read voraciously all her life, enjoyed opera, the theater and movies, treasured her time with family and many good friends sharing uproariously funny stories, entertaining with dramatic flair, and being in her garden amongst the fir trees with her dogs and the birds and squirrels. Nancy was passionate about interior decorating and designing beautiful and unique living spaces. In her younger years, she traveled all around the country, and her favorite place to visit was the McKenzie River in Oregon. She was a member of the Eugene Doll Club. In her last years, she loved swimming every day at the Tamarack Wellness Center Pool.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melanie Campbell Lee, and son-in-law, Robert E. Lee, of Eugene, Oregon. She is also survived by her sister, Amy Morse Bilich of Middletown, Ohio.
