OBITUARY :
The funeral of ROBERT EMERT (EMMIT) SHOCKEY, 71, Page, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Harry Williams in charge. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

He died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday in a Beckley hospital after an extended illness.

He was a retired employe of the Page Mining Co. at Page, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and the First Church of God, Kincaid.

Born at Dempsey, Jan. 12, 1903, he was a son of the late John and Rosa Bond Shockey.

Surviving are his wife, Willie Hasket Shockey; three sisters, Mrs. Goldie Garbett, Oak Hill, Mrs. Ruth Anderson, Huntington, and Miss Gertrude Shockey, Mount Hope; six sons, Robert Jr., Chicago, Ill., John, Jerry and Tom all of Chicago, Gary, Spencer, and Donald, Fayetteville; four daughters, Mrs. Garnet Vickers, Chicago, Mrs. Ronda Farmer, Clarksburg, Mrs. Dona Strickland, Dalton, Ga., and Miss Teresa Shockey, Page; 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday.
