Graveside services for Mr. Andrew M. Baker, 82, will be 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at the Bomar Point Cemetery Pavilion in Wilson.


Andrew, or better known as Andy, was born Aug. 2, 1926 in Wilson, Okla., to the late Mr. Andrew Harrison and Mrs. Bertha Eula (Henderson) Baker. He passed away Feb. 18, 2009 in Dallas, Texas.


Andy was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving during WWII, receiving an honorable discharge. He and the former Ms. Willo Hampton were united in marriage April 7, 1946, at Hastings, Mich. Andy retired from a sales management career in the oil and gas industry. Andy enjoyed fishing, spending time at Lake Texoma with his wife and family.


Preceding him in death are his parents and his son Marc Baker.


Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of 62 years, Willo of the home; daughters Pamela Moore of Sanger, Texas, and Cynthia Baker of Hillsboro, Texas; son, Andrew Michael Baker of Running's Springs, Calif.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


Viewing and visitation will be prior to the service at Bomar Point Pavilion from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday.
