On January 2, 1924, she was married to Clyde Tams Obray in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1971. They had one son and one daughter: Dean Clyde and Glenna Jean. In addition, Clyde and Lena also raised a grandson, Roy Dell Reed. At the time of her death, Lena had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was formerly employed at Hill Air Force Base and Utah Tailoring Mii!s.
Lena was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Clearfield Fourth Ward. She served as a member of the Relief Society Presidency and as Relief Society homemaking leader.
Lena was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Clearfield Senior Citizens. She had lived in Idaho prior to moving to Clearfield.
Lena passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 1976 at an Ogden nursing home. She was seventy-three.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 7, 1976 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clearfield Fourth Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 838 East 600 South in Clearfield. Bishop Duane C. Stoker conducted the service. A viewing was held on Friday, February 6, 1976 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Roy located at 5865 South 1900 West in Roy and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Lena was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services in the Paradise Cemetery.
