She had been an invalid for nearly a year, but the immediate cause of her death was a stroke of paralysis which she suffered Monday afternoon of last week and from which she never rallied.

Mrs. Barrow was a daughter of Colonel William A. and Katherine Hill Sheffield and was born at her parents' home near Ridgeway, Sept. 19, 1850.
She was educated in the public schools and at Salem Academy, and on Dec. 20, 1871, was married to B. F. Barrow. Of this union there are four surviving children Mrs. James Mongle of Abingdon, Miss Kate Barrow of Martinsville, Mr. P. S. Barrow of Bluefield, W. Va., and Mr. B. F. Barrow of Roanoke. She is survived also by one sister, Mrs. Bettie S. Thomas of Martinsville.
In 1905, Mr. and Mrs. Barrow moved from their Marrowbone" farm in Ridgeway district to Martinsville.
