Pelham-Funeral Services for Joseph Cephus Ragan, 88, RFD, Pelham, were to be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Macedonia Baptist Church with Elder Prentice Spivey officiating, assisted by Elder Josh Davis. Interment was to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery, with Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ragan, who died Sunday at his home following a lengthy illness, was a native of Calhoun County, a retired farmer and a member of the Hope Well Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.Camilla Mae Manry Ragan; son, Leland L. Ragan, Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. Iris Davis, Pelham: and Mrs. Hazel Taylor, Jacksonville, Fla.; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother, E.H. Ragan, Leary, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Rogers, Edison, Ga.; and Mrs. Ethel Everett. Atlanta, Ga.
