Services have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Newton Chapel for Mrs. Mary D. Haxton, 91, former resident of Billings community, who died at 1 a.m. Friday in Perry Nursing Home.
Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, northwest of Billings, and grandsons will serve as casket bearers.
She was born July 18, 1878, at Hamburg, Tennessee, and came from Tennessee as a girl with her father, J.T. Yarbrough, and settled in the Shawnee area. In 1922, she and her husband moved to northwest of Enid and remained there until 1931, when they moved to a farm northwest of Billings. In 1980, she moved to Perry. She was a patient in the Perry Nursing home for six years.
